Earn Up to 8,000 Eurobonus Points with a Hertz Car Rental

Just a quick post for those looking to pick up some SAS Extra Points. Their current car rental promotion with Hertz may be of interest, as you will earn up to 8,000 bonus Points for rentals booked between now and 30 June, and consumed between now and 30 September. The amount of Points you will earn depends on rental location and rental length:

You receive the following SAS EuroBonus Extra Points depending on your rental length in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark:

  • 1 – 7 days = 5,000 Points
  • 8 days and longer = 8,000 Points

You receive the following SAS EuroBonus Extra Points depending on your rental length in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the USA:

  • 3 – 7 days = 5,000 Points
  • 8 days and longer = 8,000 Points

Bottom line

As always, make sure you shop around to ensure that the rate is genuinely competitive. On the face of it though, 8,000 bonus miles does sound like a pretty decent rebate for a car rental, so you shouldn’t do too badly.

I really don’t understand why most EuroBonus car rental promos are not valid for rentals worldwide. It’s a shame really as I’d otherwise be jumping on these. A long-haul return business class redemption to Asia or North America is only 100,000 EuroBonus points…
