This is a great offer because there is no minimum spend! Imagine you book a cheap one-night stay for ~50 GBP. The 2,000 Heathrow Rewards bonus is worth either 40 GBP in Heathrow parking vouchers, 20 GBP in Heathrow shopping coupons or 2,000 frequent flyer miles with any of Heathrow Rewards’ airline partners (BA, Virgin, Singapore, Lufthansa, etc).

Rocketmiles bookings count as third-party bookings, so you will not earn points in the hotel’s own scheme.

Bottom line

It is a shame this promo is only open to first-time bookers because this really is a decent deal. Due to the fact that Rocketmiles bookings count as third-party bookings, I’d personally take advantage of this to book a cheapish room at a non-chain property. This could also be lucrative if you have the odd stay with a chain you don’t really stay that often with.
