Earn Up to 16,000 Bonus Avios from British Airways this Spring!

British Airways Executive Club has launched a potentially lucrative promotion that will run between now and 30 June, 2018.

The terms are pretty simple:

  • Fly four flights on British Airways and earn 4,000 bonus Avios
  • Fly four more flights and earn an additional 12,000 bonus Avios

If you manage all eight flights, you’d receive 16,000 bonus Avios!

As usual, there is some fine print involved:

Firstly, registration is required. You can do that by clicking here.

Secondly, eligible flights are those between the United Kingdom and these countries:

  • Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine

With that in mind, here is what I believe is NOT eligible for the promotion:

  • UK domestic flights
  • Long-haul flights
  • Reward flights
  • Codeshare flights (even Vueling flights with a BA code flying between the UK and the Continent)
  • Oneworld partner flights

Also, only flights booked AFTER 2 March, 2018 will qualify. So if you happened to book a flight yesterday due to Head for Points jumping ahead of BA’s IT department, make sure to take advantage of the 24-hour cancellation rule and cancel that booking. (in order to make a new one later)

If you are a regular business traveller to the Continent, you’ll be loving this promotion. Everybody else… not so much… I’ve already booked most of my BA flights until June, so none of them will qualify…  🙁

So you have to book one way’s. Or can you book to fly to Brussels and back at the same time to count as two flights

You can book return tickets. I think BA are just avoiding confusion since many people do book one-ways and don’t always go out and back to the same destination.
