Despite acquiring the chain in 2015, it took IHG until 2018 to integrate Kimpton hotels into IHG Rewards Club. I doubt that too many Kimpton regulars are particularly pleased about that, but IHG Rewards Club members can now spend their points on stays at Kimpton hotels – Joe wrote about this back in January.

To further promote the addition of Kimpton hotels, IHG Rewards Club is offering a one-off bonus of 10,000 IHG points for a qualifying stay before 30 April, 2018 at any Kimpton hotel worldwide. Paid stays book directly from IHG will qualify. Online travel agency bookings or award nights using points will not qualify…

You can find this offer on the landing page for the Accelerate promotion, although it’s not an Accelerate target.

Given that only 1 out of 66 Kimpton hotels is located in Europe, you will mostly likely need to visit Amsterdam to take advantage.

The Kimpton De Witt does look nice though and is very well located near Centraal Station. So 10,000 points – worth £40 or so – might be temptation enough to try out the Kimpton if your travels take you to Amsterdam this winter/early spring…
