Accor Hotels ‘Le Club’ loyalty programme (Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, etc) has just announced its main Autumn/Winter promotion. For stays between now and 31st January 2017 Classic, Silver & Gold members will earn double Points, while Platinum members will earn triple Points.

Note that although stays are eligible until the end of January 2018, you need to make sure that you book by 10th December 2017 in order to get the bonus Points.
Double or triple Points is fine and definitely worth registering for, but it’s difficult to get too excited about. The standard earning rate (at most brands) is 2.5 Points per Euro and each Point is worth 2 Euro cents, so it’s effectively a 5% rebate. Double Points therefore works out at 10% back, and triple Points would be 15%.
Alternatively, you can transfer Accor Points to Avios (via Iberia Plus) at a 1:1 rate, so you could look at double Points as being 5 Avios per Euro (triple would be 7.5 Avios per Euro).
Quidco and TopCashback frequently offer cashback rates up to 15% at Accor hotel brands, so when you factor that in too, it’s really not bad.
Do be aware that the earning rates for stays at Ibis and a couple of other brands are different.
Solid, but uninspired, promo from Accor this time – I always think ‘double Points’ is basically just what hotel loyalty programmes revert to when they can’t be bothered to think of anything more interesting.
1. General Le Club AccorHotels terms and conditions apply to the UK Winter Bonus points offer and you must be a Le Club AccorHotels member to benefit from it.

This offer entitles Le Club AccorHotels members to the following: Classic, Silver & Gold Status members will receive x2 (double) Rewards points and Platinum Status members will receive x3 (triple) Rewards points for a stay in one of the participating hotels in the Le Club AccorHotels Loyalty programme. This bonus of Rewards points is offered in addition to the Rewards points and Status points that are usually earned by the Le Club AccorHotels member for each eligible stay done in application to the Le Club AccorHotels General Conditions of Use.
This promotion is not applicable for hotel partners of Le Club AccorHotels.
The number of Rewards points earned for this offer are calculated based on a Classic membership status level earn rate.
3. This offer is valid for a member’s stay from 03/11/2017 to 31/01/2018 in one of the participating hotels, and booked between 03/11/2017 and 10/12/2017.
4. The stay must be a minimum of 1 night(s).
5. Any consecutive stays (check-out and check-in same day) in the same hotel, will be considered as a single stay. This single stay will be eligible once to the UK Winter Bonus.
6. For the purpose of this offer, a stay is one (1) reservation made by a Le Club AccorHotels member for one or more rooms in a participating hotel. For the avoidance of doubt, a reservation made for more than one room will therefore be considered as only one (1) stay.
7. To benefit from this offer, your booking must be made on AccorHotels.com, our participating brands web sites and applications and via AccorHotels Call Centres. All other reservation channels will not be eligible to this offer.
8. You must provide your Le Club AccorHotels Loyalty card number when making your reservation, and present your card at the hotel reception desk when you check-in for your stay.
9. Le Club AccorHotels Rewards points are credited to the member’s account within 10 days following the end of his/her stay.
10. This offer cannot be combined with other current promotional bonus points offers or advantages and does not apply to groups.
If the stay meets the terms and conditions for several offers, only the Rewards points linked to the most generous offer (meaning that allows you to earn the highest number of Rewards points) will be credited to your account.
