If you’re pondering a trip to Japan or Korea, you can currently bag yourself some Hilton bargains in the latest 50% flash sale. The sale ends at 5am UK time (2pm JST) on Friday 24th November 2017, so don’t hang around too long if you spot something you like!

Good deals?

Excellent! – with the usual caveat that the sale rates are nonrefundable, despite the 50% discount being derived from the flexible rate.

Completely ignore any of the headline rates ‘advertising’ the sale – you can find much better deals in reality when you search, so I’ve no idea why Hilton is pretending the rates are higher than they are (odd way to promote a sale in my view…).

Take for example the Hilton Tokyo Bay, proudly listed as “from £121” on the sale page

In fact, that’s the standard rate without the 50% being taken off!

Search and you’ll probably see something like this:

10,500 Yen is about £71, so much better but still not actually 50% off. Click through to the detailed results though and you can find rates like this:

9,000 Yen is about £60.50 – exactly 50% off the standard flex rate.

Remember to scroll down and check out the different rates for all the different types of rooms when searching on the Hilton site, because sometimes the cheapest rooms aren’t displayed at the top of the page.

The sale also extends to Exec rooms and suites. A suite with Executive Lounge access at the Conrad Tokyo for ~£250 (37,500 Yen), not bad! Certainly beats paying £500.

Bottom line

As long as you don’t mind making a nonrefundable booking there are some seriously good deals to be had here!
