In addition to offering one of the very best Business Class products out there, Qatar Airways regularly also do it at an enormous discount.
Qatar are currently offering some great fares via a “companion offer”: buy two tickets in Business Class or First Class, and you’ll save up to 40%.
This has led to some good value from London. However, it’s well worth starting the flight from Germany (Berlin) as there’s some incredibly low fares available – long haul Biz Class starting at just €1065 return.
Although it may sound a touch ridiculous to the novice, “repositioning” your starting point like this can save you a fortune, and add far more to your holiday than merely inconvenience.
What’s available in the Qatar companion offer?
Prices from London are as follows (Business Class return per head):
- Goa – £1,570
- Kathmandu – £1690
- Bangkok – £1,870
- Kuala Lumpur – £1980
- Singapore – £2,080
- Bali – £2190
But we can do better…
The phenomenal ex-Germany prices are as follows (Business Class return per head, from Berlin):
- Windhoek – €1,065
- Bangkok – €1,194
- Jakarta – €1,234
- Singapore – € 1,250
- Johannesburg – €1,259
- Kuala Lumpur – €1,574
- Phuket – €1,599
- Hong Kong – €1,694
- Maldives – €1,694
- Colombo – €1,719
It’s worth having a look at various other options too – we also found some great Business Class fares out of Brussels too, including Bali at just €1465 per person return.
Should you reposition?
It depends enormously on your personal circumstances of course, but taking one of the examples above:
- A return to Bali for two people from London will cost you £4379
- A return to Bali for two people from Brussels will cost you €2930 (£2614)
So, the Brussels option will save you £1765. I would get on a Eurostar, have a night in Brussels with some fine dining afforded to me by the saving, and then board from Brussels with a smile on my face.
To benefit from the reduced fares, you need to book by 16 October. Travel needs to complete by the end of May 2018.

Windhoek in April & May coming in at ~€1700 on ITA. Is this ITAable ?
Anyone noticed any anomalies anywhere allowing some to be booked @ these companion rates for single tickets ?
Or perhaps any fingers trouble in the fare filing ?!

What dates are you seeing BER-Windhoek for €1065 ?
