Back in July we wrote a whistle-stop introduction to the Virgin Red Loyalty App – a rewards app covering all the Virgin Group companies. This September, they’ve brought back a variation on last month’s hugely popular “treasure hunt competition”, now called: Virgin Red Rock Your World.

Rock Your World is similar to last month’s ‘Keys to the Kasbah’ in that members get daily challenges which help them to find a codeword which will earn them points – and points do indeed mean prizes. This time the codes have a definite rock and roll theme.

Every Virgin Red user has up to 4 chances to win a main prize (depending on how many points you earn over the month) and the prizes are awesome. Each of the 4 winners will receive:

• 70,000 Virgin Flying Club Miles
• £1,000 Virgin Holidays voucher
• 4 First Class tickets from Virgin Trains + 4 FIrst Class tickets from Virgin Trains East Coast

As you collect more points this month (see our intro post for details on how Virgin Red works), you’ll unlock more entries into the competition. On the way to unlocking all 4 entries, you will also have the opportunity to win lots of smaller prizes.

50 Points to get you started with Virgin Red Rock Your World!

I had a little chat with the good people at Virgin Red and they were kind enough to offer InsideFlyer readers an exclusive code to help everyone get started: INSIDEFLYER

To enter codes all you have to do is click on the Virgin Red Rock Your World entry in the top-main section of the app, then click the bar at the bottom and enter the code in the display that pops up.

Under the T&Cs of the competition, we can’t directly give you any more codes, or you risk being disqualified. However… hints are definitely fair game! So, if you’ve already missed a few daily clues, fret not. Just hit-up the social media sites of the various significant Virgin group companies, plus Virgin Red themselves, and you should be able to find them easily enough.

Virgin Red Rock Your World bottom line

Some of these sort of apps can be a bit gimmicky and not really provide much real value. Virgin Red often has genuinely good discounts and perks from Virgin companies (I particularly like the frequent train promos). The fact you also have the chance to win some seriously good prizes is the icing on the cake!
