Business Class to New Zealand £1,628 – Fantastic Qatar Airways Sale!

It’s actually been a little while since the last decent Qatar Airways Sale, but the airline is now back with another great Business Class offer from Oslo / Stockholm to Auckland, with fares starting at a little over £1600.

The fares look to be available from July 2017 all the way through to March 2018, including the peak Summer Holiday dates! Note that you need to book by 16th June though, which doesn’t give you very long.

It’s easy to search for dates on ITA Matrix, Google Flights, or just on the Qatar Airways site itself.

With these Qatar deals from Scandinavia, you can usually save a little more by having an open jaw on the return – so flying out from Stockholm and back to Oslo, for example. It’s worth having a bit of a play anyway if you’re not fussy about starting and ending your trip in the same place.

Qatar offers a superb Business Class product, so even though the Doha-Auckland leg takes about 16-17 hours and is currently the longest commercial flight in the world, I think you’ll be perfectly comfortable!

Anything else?

Yep!

If you credit the flights to British Airways Executive Club you will earn ~30,000 Avios and 600 Tier Points (enough for Silver status, although you will also need to fly (or have flown) 4 flights on BA planes in the same status year to qualify).

Downsides?

Qatar is facing some very serious political/economic pressure at the moment from most of its neighbours and this is impacting Qatar Airways. The airline seems to be managing ok so far, but do keep an eye on the news.

~£1,628 is an excellent price, but fares have actually been slightly cheaper occasionally.

Bottom line

What else is there to say – another great Qatar Airways sale fare.

Getting to/from Oslo and Stockholm is cheap and easy using Avios or low cost carriers from most of the UK and they are both lovely cities for a quick stopover too.

    Great fare price!
OT: just read an interesting article that BA are being downgraded to 3 stars from 4 stars on skytrax.
It’s about time they endured some forced downgrades to mirror what they have been doing to some redemption passengers recently! ?
