You can earn a free night (8,000 Points) for every 2 stays between 2nd March – 27th April, thanks to the new Choice Hotels promotion. 

Registration is required here. There is no limit to the number of times you can earn the bonus Points, but do note that any stays that cost less than $40.00 USD will not count as qualifying stays!

You may not be familiar with Choice Hotels, but they are actually one of the largest hotel groups in the world with 6,400+ hotels (mostly in North America) divided into the following brands: Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria hotels & suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection.

The way the promotion works is that after every second qualifying stay (one night stays are fine, so long as the nightly rate is more than $40.00) your account will be topped up with a minimum of 5,000 and a maximum of 8,000 bonus Points (depending on how many base points were earned from your stays) to ensure that you always earn at least 8,000 Points in total from every 2 stays.

8,000 Points is enough for a free night at ~1,500 Choice hotels, and some of the 8,000 Points ones are actually pretty good!

Bottom line

We have seen this Choice Hotels promotion, or a variation of it, many times now over the years. Given that Choice Hotels are often very reasonably priced (and the good value Points redemption options available in Scandinavia), this is actually potentially mattress run worthy in some circumstances. If you have some Choice stays coming up, don’t forget to register!

Choice Hotels Promotion Terms

After a second qualifying trip with arrival between 03/02/17 and 04/27/17, members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 and maximum of 8,000 bonus points, depending on the number of base points earned from the two (2) separate qualifying trips. These bonus points will allow redemption for a future free night at the 8,000 reward night level at over 1,500 Choice hotels. A free night at most Choice Hotel locations requires more than 8,000 points. A trip is defined as a stay that is any number of consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs. Registration required at ChoiceHotels.com/freenight before check-out. Members must book trips via ChoiceHotels.com, the Choice Hotels mobile app, or 800.4CHOICE at qualifying rates. Corporate travelers may book through a corporate online booking system. Choice Privileges member number must be provided upon check-in. Trips at vacation rental property locations and stays booked with the SEGEN rate code do not qualify for promotional bonus points. To be eligible to earn the bonus, members must set their earning preference to Choice Privileges points in their online account.
