Here at InsideFlyer, we’re big fans of Advent Calenders, not least our own Christmas Advent Calendar of prizes to win! Quite a few of you are getting very into Where’s Iggy, the IHG Advent Calendar (where you can also get IHG Rewards Club points for entering 5 days in a row). Other hotel and travel companies are also fans, so here’s a few more you might want to bookmark. (Sadly none quite as lucrative as IHG’s Iggy)

First up is the France-headquartered global hotel chain Accor. (See our introduction to the Accor Le Club scheme if you’re new to it). They’ve just launched their advent calendar (in French) which is giving away 3,000,000 Le Club points in instant prizes over the month, some other things such as hotel stays, plus a grand prize of a trip to New York. Here’s what you can win instantly each day:

The prizes include 2430 lots of 500 points (each worth 10€), plus higher ones, so we figure you should have a fair chance. For those of you who’ve forgotten their GCSE French (the form really isn’t that hard!), Google Translate will help you enter.

Also from Accor is The Smart Explorer Challenge.

The Smart Explorer has actually been running for a few weeks now, but the grand prize is still up for grabs, and you’ve a chance of winning a decent slug of Le Club points each day. There’s a new city challenge every ~10 days, which involves a little mini-game about the city, but you can enter each day for the prize-draw too.

One lucky winner will end up with a million points, and another every day wins 10,000. You’ll want to complete the past missions, then return every day to click through to enter the draw. If you’re struggling with some of the mini-game missions, this flyertalk thread should have the answers buried somewhere inside it… Otherwise they’re generally not too bad, so hopefully you’ll be OK to get through to enter the draw!

Back for another holiday is Topcashback’s “find the hummingbird to win prizes” competition, this time called Topcashback Xmas Treats. As with previous times, you look out for the hummingbird as you browse the pages for various cashback offers, click on it to unlock a prize. There’s also a daily clue for an offer where you’re guaranteed to find a hummingbird.

Based on comments on their Facebook page (a good place to check if you can’t work out the daily clue, or are missing some!), you’re unlikely to win more than about a quid over the month…. Still, only takes about a minute to get the daily prize (mostly just entries into the overall prize draw), but you never know!

The other main UK cashback site, Quidco, have also joined in the Christmas-themed game party. Theirs is called The Lost Reindeer, with instant win cash. They’re giving away £20,000 in total, across about 6000 prizes, so your chances aren’t too bad. Thanks to Ian Perry in the comments for this tip!

Finally, Nectar is also running its own Advent Calendar, with Nectar points and other prizes being given away daily. Don’t get too excited though, today’s grand prize is 2,000 Nectar points which equates to a slightly Scrooge-like £10.
