Hotel booking site Kaligo has a pretty generous promotion on until the end of the year, offering up to 40 Avios per £1 spent with them + 2,000 Avios first booking bonus.

The standard Avios earning rate with Kaligo is 5-20 Avios per £1, and that’s been doubled for all bookings made before 31st December for stays up until 30th April 2017 to 10-40 Avios per £1.

The 2,000 bonus Avios is a one-off for your first booking with Kaligo.

As with similar hotel booking sites like RocketMiles and PointsHound, Kaligo’s rates are quite often (but not always) higher than prices you can find elsewhere online, so you should always compare the prices at HotelsCombined or Kayak etc, and then decide if the Avios are worth the additional cost.

I do quite like that for some hotels Kaligo shows you the rates offered by other sites, which makes quick decisions a bit easier.

This offer certainly won’t provide the best value all the time, but it is worth checking because you can find deals like the one below:

That was genuinely on the first page of the first search I made, so there’s definitely deals to be had!

Bottom line

Potentially decent offer, and definitely worth having a quick look when booking hotels if you are an Avios collector.
