A few weeks ago I flagged that it was possible to use Accor’s popular weekly ‘Happy Mondays’ sales to book a much greater range of dates than had previously been the case. It seems that Accor has actually (at least for the summer) made a deliberate adjustment and the extended booking range isn’t a glitch, so I think it’s only fair to dub the promotion even ‘Happier Mondays’ from now on!
Happy Mondays?
Yep.
For years, every Monday and Tuesday Accor allowed bookings at deeply discounted rates for the following Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at their UK hotels.
Outside of London:
- Ibis Budget/ Ibis /Ibis Styles: £25.00
- Novotel/Mercure: £40.00
London:
- Ibis Budget: £25.00
- Ibis / Ibis Styles: £40.00
- Mercure/Novotel £60.00
- Pullman: £90.00
Really great prices, particularly if you can find availability in a city centre on Saturday nights!
For example, take a look at the Ibis Styles in Birmingham next Saturday where the Happy Mondays rate is just £25.00 (including breakfast) and the cheapest alternative rate is over £80.00 – a saving of 69%.
What’s changed?
Rather than just being able to book for the next weekend, you can now book for 11 straight days starting from the next Friday. You can see the current dates below, but they get updated each week.
You still need to make your booking on Mondays or Tuesdays to access the discounted rates.
How long will it last?
I hope this a permanent change, but have a suspicion it might just be for the Summer. Either way – it’s great while it lasts regardless!
Anything else?
TopCashback are currently offering up to 15.75% cashback on Accor bookings, including Happy Monday rates – not bad!
To make sure your cashback tracks properly, rather than using the Happy Mondays page on the Accor website, simply click through to the Accor homepage from TopCashback and then type MONDAY into the ‘Preferential Code’ box and search as normal.
