50% Off IHG Award Bookings In the Caribbean and Central America (Includes Fantastic All-Inclusive Deals From Just 17,500 Points For All The Family!)

Some links to products and partners on this website will earn an affiliate commission.

For the next three days (until 28th August) you can get 50% off IHG award bookings at a decent selection of Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Jamaica, Aruba, Mexico, Panama, Colombia and Puerto Rico.

The discount applies for stays from 1st September until 30th October, and the lower rates come up automatically when you search for award availability on the IHG site.

50% off brings the number of Points required for some of the hotels as low as 7,500 per night, but the deals I really want to highlight are the All-Inclusive resorts from just 17,500 Points per night!

17,500 Points is a great deal for 2 people at all-inclusive resorts that can charge well over £100.00 per night, but what’s even better is that you can take the kids for free too (apart from at the resort in Ixtapa).

As you can see in the image above, 2 adults and 2 children in a 4 person room is still just 17,500 Points – when you consider that includes all your meals/drinks etc, that’s a pretty amazing deal!

I’m using a similar amount of Points for a night at a Holiday Inn in Sheffield soon and thought that was an ok redemption… but (on balance!) I’d probably rather be in Jamaica:

I don’t have any IHG Points

Ian posted a few days ago about an offer for IHG Platinum Elites which allows them to buy Points for ~ £4.20 per thousand. If you read his article closely though, you will see that he also highlights a trick which means that any member can buy Points for ~ £4.80 per 1,000 any time!

Buying 15,000 Points would work out at about £85.00 per night and could be a considerable saving compared to paying the cash rate.

The full list of hotels is below and includes some very nice Intercontinentals if all-inclusive isn’t your thing:

Bonus Tip: Redeeming Avios through Iberia Plus from Madrid can be excellent value to Central America, particularly because almost all of October and November are ‘off peak’, which means that Economy is 25,000 Avios and Business Class is just 42,500 each way (with relatively low taxes/surcharges too)!
