The UK’s largest coach operator is offering the chance to win a ‘lifetime of free travel’ in celebration of its 50th birthday.

National Express has clocked up half a century on the road and to mark the milestone is giving away a surprise prize every day for 50 days, including a 50 year pass for travel across its UK-wide network of coach services.

The total prize pot is worth over £10,000 and includes annual cinema passes, restaurant and shopping vouchers, luxury gift hampers and an overnight break, as well as a money can’t buy 50 year travel pass.

Chris Hardy, Managing Director of National Express UK Coach, said:

“As part of our celebrations, we wanted to give away something extra special.

Free travel is always a fantastic prize but even more so at the minute. The lucky winner can use our famous white fleet of modern coaches to see friends and family, visit attractions or attend events.

“And just think of the hundreds of destinations from Exeter to Edinburgh and Newquay to Newcastle they will be able to explore with National Express!”

How to enter…

Entrants will need to enter each day via an online entry form on the National Express website to win the surprise prize for that day.

The competition runs from Thursday 25th August 2022 and will close at midnight on Thursday 13th October 2022.

Bottom line

For UK journeys up to about 3 hours, I generally prefer getting a coach than a train. The seats are more comfortable, they tend to be quieter, and seem much less likely to be cancelled.
