Hilton has launched a new version of its traditional Winter Sale in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, offering Hilton Honors members 25% off weekend stays.

You need to book by January 31st 2022 and stay between between November 19th through and May 9th 2022.

For the purposes of this offer, “weekend” is defined in the terms as “Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday nights and in the Middle East (excluding Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, Africa) as Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday nights”. That said, these rates are actually quite often available on week days too.

Good deal?

It’s hard to know for sure without carefully monitoring the rates that were available before the sale. The main thing to be aware of is that the 25% discount is derived from the (non-member) Flexible Rate. This means that the ‘real’ saving will be less than 25%, because the sale rate is non refundable.

As you can see in the example below, the £126 sale rate is (almost) exactly 25% off the Flex £169 rate, so at least it’s being calculated accurately.

Here are a couple more London examples:

The Conrad London St James is widely available on Fridays and Sundays for £213 per night, with Saturdays at £228. Compared to the rates at similar quality hotels from Marriott/IHG/etc, that’s good value.

Similarly, the very well-located Hampton Waterloo can be booked for as little as £95, which is £25-40 cheaper than comparable hotels from the other major chains.

Bottom line

It’s good to see the return of these Hilton sales, although the ‘real’ value you can get will vary by hotel.

As always with anything non-refundable, only commit if you’re very confident you’ll be able to make the stay…

Full prepayment is required at time of booking.
