Having decided to not offer a promotion for several months, Marriott Bonvoy has finally returned with a promotion for the autumn of 2021.

The promotion will run between 14 September and 12 December, 2021. Registration is required before 28 November (click here to register).

The promotion is fairly straightforward. Members can earn:

• 1,500 bonus points per STAY
• 4,500 bonus points per STAY at Marriott’s all-inclusive resorts

As usual, award stays (using points or free night certificates) do NOT qualify for the bonus points. Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Marriott Executive Apartments®, and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are also not eligible for bonus points.

Worthwhile?

This promotion incentivises one-night stays – a cheap one-night stay will earn the same 1,500 bonus points as a week-long holiday. But with 1,500 points being worth £7-8, this promotion does little more than defend Marriott against criticism of NOT offering a promotion for so long…

In any event, Marriott Bonvoy members should still register for the promotion – you might forget later…
