However, you can often knock a few quid off the price by booking with an online travel agency via sites like Momondo. Given the potential complications involved with travel though these days, you may prefer to pay a bit more and book direct.

If you credited the flights to Virgin Flying Club, you should end up with a healthy rebate of about 23,000 Virgin Points. You may prefer to credit to Singapore KrisFlyer or ANA Mileage Club, where you would earn ~14,000 (potentially more valuable) miles.

Bottom line

These are excellent for Business Class from London to West Coast USA. The fact it is so widely available and over such a length of time is great to see.
