Ramadan 2021 began last week, a special month for many millions of people around the world. During Ramadan, Qatar Airways will make a few changes to the service onboard, and in the Al Mourjan Lounge at Hamad International Airport.

Catering on Qatar Airways flights during Ramadan 2021

Qatar Airways will continue to offer its regular meal service onboard flights. Travelling Muslims can be exempted from fasting – and Qatar, of course, flies many non-Muslim travellers too. In addition, business and economy passengers will be offered bespoke Iftar bags, containing Middle Eastern delicacies reflecting the traditional food served to break the fast.

Alcoholic drinks will also continue to be offered. The only difference is they will be served a little more discreetly and will not be visible on the serving trolleys.

Qatar Airways will also offer the regular, top-class culinary experience during Ramadan 2021 in its currently open lounge at Hamad International Airport in Doha. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are also still available, but the same principle applies as onboard, with the latter not publicly visible.
