A quick heads up that for the next two days only, ebay has ramped up its Nectar points-earning rate from the usual 1 point per £1 spend, to a decidedly more generous 6 points per £1 spend.
You have until 11:59:59 on 18 April to make your purchase, which must be a minimum of £10 to qualify for the bonus points.
A bonus worth at least 3%
Although you can quite easily get better value from 3.75 Avios (certainly when planes are actually flying), 6 Nectar points are at a very minimum worth 3 pence to spend in Sainsburys, Argos or even on ebay, so it’s a good rebate. Not quite as generous as the 9 points per £1 that has been briefly offered in the past, but that’s unlikely to return too frequently (if ever).
How to claim the ebay Nectar bonus
To benefit, you should go to the ebay page of the Nectar website, and click through to register. You should then receive instant confirmation that you’re signed up.
Collecting Nectar points more generally…
As we’ve stated ad nauseum, Nectar now offers a great way to earn Avios and as a loyalty currency, has become a key focus of ours.
Clearly, shopping at Sainsburys helps a lot with building your Nectar balance, but don’t forget that you can earn 21,000 bonus Nectar points with the Amex Nectar credit card.
We also previously looked at a few easy ways to earn a few easy or free Nectar points – you can read that guide here.
