Bottom line

My Amazon account isn’t eligible this time, but other family member accounts were able to benefit.

If you spend money with Amazon anyway and don’t mind (even temporarily…) downloading Amazon Assistant, this is effectively £5 of free money – it’s certainly worth taking a few seconds to check whether the offer is available on your account…
