Amex Gold Cardholders Can Now Earn 4.8x Bonus Nectar Points At Sainsbury’s…

Amex Gold cardholders (and possibly Platinum too?) can now earn three bonus Membership Rewards Points for every £1 spent at Sainsbury’s, until 9 June 2021.

If you transferred the bonus points to British Airways Avios and then across to Nectar, you would effectively be earning 4.8 bonus Nectar Points per £1 spent. That is on top of the 1.6 Nectar Points you could earn from the standard 1x Amex Membership Rewards Point, and the usual 1 Nectar Point per £1 you can earn direct with Nectar.

In total then, you’d be looking at earning 7.4 Nectar Points per £1 spent at Sainsbury’s.

As far as I can tell, this offer is available to all cardholders, although it might take a little while to show up on your offers. Note that you do need to save the offer on your card in order to benefit from it!

Terms

Three bonus Membership Rewards points will be awarded for every £1 GBP of eligible spent at Sainsbury’s, every time until 9 June 2021.

Offer only applies to spend made in Great British Pound (GBP) on the Card to which the Offer is saved, including an American Express Card loaded into a mobile payment wallet.

Rewarded points are in addition to the base rate associated with your Card.

Awarded points may be reversed if qualifying transaction is refunded or cancelled.
