Last month I flagged the superb rates that Premier Inn is offering these days. In most parts of the the UK you can regularly find rooms for £29, and even in central London it’s not difficult to book rooms for about £40. It is now possible to book the cheap rates for dates all the way through to as late as March 2021.

Over on HotUKDeals, a contributor called Chanchi32 has completed the herculean task of listing every date, for every Premier Inn hotel, when the cheapest rates are available. You can see the full list here.

I should also point out that although these are “Standard” bookings, where you might think there was no flexibility, you can actually change the date of your stay without penalty. According to the latest terms:

“STANDARD allows amendments on a like for like basis up until 1pm on the day of planned arrival and full refunds within 24 hours from making the booking.”

In addition,

“in the event the Government introduces stricter lockdown measures which makes it illegal to stay at the hotel you’ve booked, we will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis”.

Bottom line

We have long sung the praises of Premier Inn. It may not offer a loyalty programme, but the value for money is superb (and there is a way to get free breakfast...).

Travel in many parts of the country is uncertain right now, but if you do need a hotel in the UK, I know where I would start my search.
