Radisson Rewards has announced a chain-wide promotion that will run from 1 July until 31 December, 2020. The promotion is very simple – you will receive 5,000 bonus points per stay, starting with your FIRST stay.

A stay is, as usual, defined as one or more nights spent consecutively at the same hotel. (irrespective of whether you book each night individually or whether you check-out and check-in again) In addition, Points + Cash or full award stays DO QUALIFY.

The fine print also mentions that you can earn a maximum of 150,000 bonus points. At 5,000 per stay, that limits you to 30 stays between now and the end of the year.

Is This a Good Promo?

Often we discuss promotions in terms of the value of points earned, in which case you would be looking at £15 or so of “rebate” for your Radisson stays for the rest of 2020.

But since this promo also applies to award stays, you can also receive a substantial “rebate” by using your existing points balance for a one-night stay, and banking the 5,000 bonus points a few days later. I know that decent 9,000 point per night hotels are rare, but you could be getting more than half of your points back…

In any case, I don’t believe that this promotion should tempt anybody into moving their 2020 stays over to Radisson. What do you think? Let us know in the comments…
