With transfers from hotel chains prohibited, Lufthansa Miles & More members occasionally find themselves needing more miles for a reward… but not knowing how to get them. This promotion might help!

Between now and 31 July, 2019, you can receive up to 5,000 bonus miles from Miles & More for booking a car rental via their Hotels & Cars by Points portal. These bonus miles come in addition to the usual 250 miles per day.

The bonus increases based on the underlying cost of a single car rental. (not cumulative across various rentals)

• Spend 50 – 249 euros –> 1,000 bonus miles
• Spend 250 – 499 euros –> 2,000 bonus miles
• Spend 500+ euros –> 5,000 bonus miles

Double Miles on Hotel Stays

If you would prefer to book a hotel instead of a car, you can also earn double miles on hotel stays booked via the Hotels & Cars by Points portal. You are unlikely to find any options worthy of a pure mattress run, but you can easily pick up thousands of miles by booking a hotel that you actually might need.
