Hilton Honors Brings in New 120,000 Point Per Night Standard Reward Price Level

Hilton Honors recently implemented a ‘Points Explorer’ – read more by clicking here – which in my opinion does little more than highlight how far Hilton Honors has progressed towards “dynamic pricing” of reward nights.

But even so, Hilton Honors has managed to maintain something resembling a cap on the cost of standard room reward nights… at 95,000 points per night.

A new hotel is opening in 2019, however, and this 95,000 per night cap will not apply…

The new hotel in question is the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Now… I wouldn’t want to suggest that 120,000 points per night is anything other than a bargain. You could buy Hilton points during a 100% bonus promotion – such as the current one – and pay a mere $600 per night (£465) with the fifth night free should you enjoy elite status with Hilton Honors. (even lowly Silver)  Compare that with cash rates…

But a handful of other Hilton Honors properties also offer “a pool villa experience”. How long until the Conrad Koh Samui or Conrad Bora Bora Nui start charging 120,000 points per night? Good question…  I suspect it won’t take too much longer for the 95,000 cap to disappear entirely… What do you think?

There is a lot of interest around the opening of this new resort. The yacht transfers have finally been confirmed only today by Management as being $360 PP + 23% Taxes Each way.

Can anyone comment if any Hilton resort exclude Gold from free breakfasts?
