It is shocking how many times this Groupon offer re-appears. The first 2019 offer arrived less than two weeks ago but yet another has gone live. As always, you will be buying Avios for an Iberia Plus account, but you can always move them over to British Airways Executive Club if desired…
The price per Avios is the same as usual:
- 2,000 Avios for 19 euros (0.95 euro cents apiece)
- 4,000 Avios for 59 euros (1.48 euro cents apiece)
- 8,000 Avios for 99 euros (1.24 euro cents apiece)
- 15,000 Avios for 189 euros (1.26 euro cents apiece)
- 20,000 Avios for 249 euros (1.25 euro cents apiece)
- 35,000 Avios for 439 euros (1.26 euro cents apiece)
You are allowed to buy 1 of the 2,000 Avios packs, and 5 of the 4k, 20k and 35K packs and 10 of the 8K / 15K packs.

You can go to the Iberia website and set your country settings to Spain in the top left-hand corner. Then you want to visit the IberiaPluStore. (which works exactly like your usual cashback or airline shopping portals) There you will find Groupon as one of the options. Unfortunately Groupon is paying far lower commissions to IberiaPluStore these days – 3 Avios per euro at the moment.
When you arrive at Groupon, you might arrive at the wrong page. Simply set your city to Madrid and type Avios or Iberia in the search bar; that should take you to the current offer.
Once you have managed to purchase a Groupon voucher, you will need to exchange it for your Avios. Groupon must have become fed up with queries from abroad, as the conversion process is now explained in both Spanish and English (and also appears to be working just fine).
I have also been testing a Spanish cashback website called Beruby that is apparently paying 1.97 euros cashback on this offer, but I believe that Beruby are fairly strict at only tracking clicks from Spanish IP addresses. (payable via Paypal) However, leave us a comment about whether it works for you, as it nearly 2 euros is a much higher return than 57 Avios…
2,000+ Avios (including the Avios/cashback bonus) per fortnight is a slow way to accumulate Avios, but the price simply can’t be beaten. As usual, the 2,000 Avios packs will sell fairly quickly, so you’d better get moving…
First time trying this – have managed to get the Groupon code for 2000k Avios – does anyone have the link on how to exchange the voucher number for Avios in English please.

Go to https://www.groupon.es/mystuff and then click on the green box saying “Ver Detalles”. Look for the word “enlace” and that should link through to the bilingual form.
Great thanks Chris – have managed to make sense of most of the page but can’t see the the required security code on the voucher – any tips welcome.
In your pdf, “Codigo de cupon” means Coupon Code and “Codigo de Seguridad” means Security Code. The form should explain it in English these days…

I think the best offers I’ve seen for Avios so far was the promotion with the Sunday Times Travel Magazine: 4500 Avios for 30£ (including 12 months of subscription). I still don’t find great value in these Groupon offers being quite overpriced,
But just my 2 cents.
