TopCashback has once again boosted the rebates available for booking IHG hotels up to 15%.
I wrote a few days ago about the 11% for Holiday Inn bookings that was available via Quidco, but suggested holding off if you wanted to book IHG’s more luxurious brands, on the basis that we’d probably see something like this 15% offer again soon.
I know many readers like to stack cashback with IHG’s regular ‘Accelerate’ bonus Points promotions, and obviously it makes most sense to book when the cashback rate is as high as possible. Remember that clicking through from a cashback website has no impact on the Points you earn from your stays (including bonus Points from promotions like Accelerate) – it’s an additional kickback!
The level of cashback you will receive depends on the specific hotel brand you want to stay at, as follows:
- Intercontinental: 15%
- Hotel Indigo: 15%
- Crowne Plaza: 12%
- Candlewood Suites: 10%
- Staybridge Suites: 10%
- EVEN Hotels: 10%
- Holiday Inn: 8.5%
- Holiday Inn Express: 8.5%
- Kimpton: 3%
The boosted rates won’t be around too long (the screenshot above was taken last night).
You get a 5% bonus if you choose to transfer your cashback to British Airways Avios, so the 15% cashback for Intercontinental stays would work out a rather nice 15.75 Avios per £1 spent. Cashing out during a bigger transfer bonus, like the current 30% Zeek offer, will likely provide better value though.

You mentioned that linking from a cashback has no impact on Accelerate points. I know many Accelerate bonus offers are tailored to users but in my case one of my Accelerate bonus points is for booking a number of stays through the IHG app so in that case I wouldn’t use a cashback site beforehand.

Good Point Ivan, that’s right. I’ve had to make a few app bookings in the past too.

Big value loss. Unless I am definitely going for the achievement bonus, I try to skip the App target.
