Although the main Qatar sale has now ended, the deals above still work. I’ve taken advantage myself today, bagging an ex-EU return to Australia for £1.5k.

Qatar has launched another promo code, giving you 10% off business and economy class tickets when booking via the Qatar Airways app or the mobile website. Details are on the Qatar Airways webpage:

• must book between 24 and 30 January
• must book through mobile website or app, using promo code GOMOBILE
• not valid on bookings ending at Doha

For those of you in the West of the country, remember that Qatar will start commencing flights to and from Cardiff in May this year. See Craig’s post here for further details.

Remember that as a oneworld alliance partner, Qatar Airways flights earn Avios and tier points in the British Airways Executive Club. A return trip to Australia will earn you enough tier points (600 in fact) for BA Silver (though you will require for 4 segments on BA, too).

Bottom line

Qatar’s fares have just got even more competitive. Qatar usually offers 5% promo codes, making the current 10% look even more attractive. This code may not stack with cashback however as it’s not listed on Topcashback. That said, this 10% off coupon is more generous than the current cashback of 2.1% offered via Topcashback. Be sure to check Momondo / Skyscanner /etc for OTA pricing as these might be even cheaper!
