Air New Zealand is offering some superb fares this morning from London as part of the Black Friday ‘celebrations'(???) – starting at 9am sharp!

If you fancy cheap direct flights from London to Los Angeles, Air New Zealand is selling 100 return Economy tickets for just £175.  

Travel dates are quite limited:

Outbound travel dates – 4/5/6/7/20/21/22/26/27/28 Feb 2018
Inbound travel dates – 11/12/13/14/15 Feb 2018 and 6/7/8/12/13 Mar 2018

These will sell like hot cakes, so make sure you’re ready to book at 9am if you want any chance of getting one.

If you’d rather head to New Zealand, there are 50 tickets available at £399 return – that’s very good, but not ‘great’ in my opinion.

Again the eligible travel dates are very limited:

Outbound travel dates – 15/16/21/22/23 May 2018
Inbound travel dates – 28/29 May 2018 and 4/6/7 Jun 2018.

Bottom line

Say what you will about Black Friday, at least some of the deals are genuinely decent. I’ve not snagged anything travel related for myself so far this morning, but did manage to order some heavily discounted champagne – I’m therefore feeling (relatively) tolerant towards Black Friday at the moment. We’ll see how that changes as the day goes on…

Remember – to give yourself the best chance, be prepared to think quickly and pounce if you see something unmissable. On the other hand, always make sure that what you are getting is actually a good deal and not just a load of marketing nonsense. Good luck!
