I’m not convinced “Aviosback” is a viable word, but I am running with it.

Anyway, eat at Pizza Express on Sunday-Thursday between now and 26 November, and you’ll earn a massive 12 Avios per £1 spent. To benefit, you simply need to make sure that you’ve got an Avios.com account, and you’ve registered your payment card with it.

That’s it, the rest is automatic. We’ve talked about the Avios “in-store” earning opportunities before, of course, but 12 Avios per £1 is very generous. Indeed, given our approximate 1p valuation of Avios points, it can therefore clearly be said to represent 12% Aviosback, to the extent that is a thing.

I also suggest you have a look at the Pizza Express offers page, as you can often snag a deal at your local restaurant this way.

You can of course use your Tesco Clubcard vouchers to get 4 x value at Pizza Express, too.  By all means do this, but bear in mind you won’t earn Avios on the voucher spend. You’ll also be missing out on the chance to convert those Tesco Clubcard vouchers to Avios (600 Avios per £2.50) so may want to give this some thought depending on your priorities. 600 Avios is almost certainly not worth £10 (the Pizza Express voucher redemption amount),  but if you bear in mind the offers available (which won’t stack with the Tesco vouchers), and the 12 Avios you’ll get back per £1 cash spend, it may be that a cash spend is the better option.
