Malmaison, a UK-based luxury boutique hotel chain, have just launched their Winter sale. Unlike some other chain’s options, this one is focused more on a nice break with dinner, rather than just the room-only. For only £99 they’re offering a room for two, 2 course dinner and a cocktail each!

Malmaison have 15 hotels dotted around the UK, and all of them are included in the offer. Sadly the London and Oxford properties are a little higher in price at £129, but the other 13 all offer the £99 rate.

The special rate is available for stays from the 17th of December until the 4th of February, so could be good for a pre-Christmas night out, or otherwise a nice mid-Winter mini-break. Bookings need to be made by the 24th of November, and are non-refundable (as most hotel sale rates are). Saturday nights are £20 more.

Availability isn’t actually too bad. Looking at London for the Christmas period, there’s a fair number of peak-nights covered:

Moving onto January and their excellent hotel in Edinburgh, almost every night has the sale rate available:

Pleasingly, unlike some hotel chains, they actually make it very easy to see when the special offer rate is and isn’t still available. Head to the special page for the sale, pick your hotel/city of interest, then click through to view in 3 week blocks what’s still left.

The full list of Malmaison hotels is:

  • Aberdeen
  • Belfast
  • Birmingham
  • Brighton
  • Cheltenham
  • Dundee
  • Edinburgh

Otherwise, Malmaison do have a few other dining + cheaper hotel stay offers available, including “spend £50 in the restaurant to get a Friday night hotel for £50” and “spend £75 in the restaurant to get a Sunday night hotel for £25”. Take a look at the Malmaison offers section to see them all.

To be fair, the Edinburgh hotel is in Leith, so definitely not city centre. But it’s a lovely hotel and there are three Michelin starred restaurants and plenty of fantastic bars within easy reach and good transport connections to Edinburgh city centre.
