Is it a day with a ‘y’ in it again? Oh yes! – that means more cheap Business Class fares with Qatar Airways – this time it’s an exciting sounding ‘Qatar Flash Sale’.
The Qatar flash sale ends tonight and there are absolutely loads of great bargains from various parts of Europe to destinations all over the world. As usual, Scandinavia and Italy tend to offer the best starting points in terms of the fares and because they are relatively easy to get to. There are also superb fares from Moscow, but connecting there can be a bit tricker. Here are just a few of the highlights:
Oslo – Auckland – Stockholm
By flying out of Oslo and back to Stockholm you can shave a bit extra off flights to Auckland (and get to visit two lovely European capitals if you like, rather than just one!). Fares start ~£1,610 and it’s a lot of premium flying for the money.
If you credit the flights to British Airways Executive Club you will earn ~30,000 Avios and 600 Tier Points (enough for Silver status, although you will also need to fly (or have flown) 4 flights on BA planes in the same status year to qualify).
At the time of writing, availability at the lowest fares looks excellent until September and then ok in October and November, before drying up in December.
Venice – Bangkok
Fares starting at £1,130 – Availability for under £1,200 is superb until April 2018.
Moscow – Ho Chi Minh
I posted about this one last week when the price was ~£791, now you can book for ~£770
Availability at the very lowest fares isn’t great, but £787 or less is wide open until the end of October 2017 and it’s only a few quid more than £770.
Economy Bargain
If Business Class is a bit rich (most of these fares are still £1000+ which is a obviously a substantial chunk of cash), there are also some excellent Economy fares available too.
The standout for me is Milan to Krabi in Thailand for ~£274
Availability at the lowest price is patchy, but you should be able to find something reasonable most of the time between now and the end of the year.
Bottom line
I’m not really sure exactly what the point of a ‘Qatar Flash Sale’ is, given that there is almost always something pretty similar on. That said, these fares really are excellent compared to most of the alternatives and Qatar continues to offer a superb Business Class product.
Being able to earn Avios and British Airways elite status on top, makes Qatar’s Business Class sale fares very tough to beat.
