I recently received an email from an affiliate marketing company, asking me whether I would be interested in receiving commission for referrals to Starwood hotels. Yes, please! I’m surprised my little blog received such attention and vetting but I would have no problems promoting one of my favourite hotel chains. But I decided to check the two major cashback websites in the UK – Topcashback and Quidco – and I discovered that Starwood hotels are now available through Quidco.

3% isn’t a life changer, of course, but compared to zero it’s still an improvement. I also suspect that cashback won’t track correctly when combined with one of my favourite travel hacks – the SPG Best Rate Guarantee.

So… alas… I won’t be peppering my SPG-related posts with affiliate links, since I always try to point people in the direction of keeping those affiliate commissions for themselves. But the next time you’re going to book an SPG property, make sure to head over to Quidco beforehand…
