Hot on the heels of the Europe sale that ended yesterday, there is now a new Hilton flash sale offering 20% off hotels in the USA, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

You need to book by Friday (23rd June 2017) for stays between 20th June – 30th September 2017.

The 20% discount is for Hilton Honors members and is derived from the flexible Best Available Rate. Given that the sale rate is nonrefundable though, the ‘real’ saving will usually be less than meets the eye.

Rather than offering a 20% discount, the Conrad and Waldorf Astoria brands are knocking a flat $20 off the Best Available Rate for Hilton Honors members. Conrad and Waldorf Astoria hotels tend to be pretty pricey, so $20 off isn’t likely to be a great saving at all in percentage terms.

Another annoying restriction in the terms is that,

“(the) offer requires 2 night minimum length of stay if arriving 07/01/17 or any Saturday, in select markets. Offer requires 3 night minimum length of stay if arriving on 09/02/17, or 06/30/17, in select markets. Offer requires 4 night minimum length of stay if arriving on 09/01/17, in select markets”.

Very unhelpfully, the terms don’t actually seem to say anywhere what those “select markets” are. This means you’ll just have to play around with dates etc if you’re not having any luck finding the sale rates.

Conclusion

This Hilton flash sale might save you a few quid if you’re looking for deals in the Americas, but it’s certainly not one of the more generous discounts we’ve seen.

I would also recommend taking a look at the MVP rates too, which could certainly work out better in some circumstances.
