Marriott Rewards is currently running an amazing offer, essentially gifting everyone 1,000 free Avios!
(OFFER EXPIRED)
All you need to do is sign up to Marriott Rewards via this page here before the end of the year and enter your British Airways Executive Club number when you do – it’s as easy as that!
On the face of it this looks incredibly generous: it almost feels too good to be true.
The whole thing takes about 30 seconds and I value 1,000 Avios at about £10, so that’s a pretty impressive return on investment!
Technically the offer is only available to new Marriott Rewards members, but I’m sure you can think of ways around that if required…
If Avios aren’t your thing, you can also select 1,000 AeroMexico, Air Canada Aeroplan, Avianca LifeMiles, Etihad Guest, Lufthansa Miles & More, or Qatar Privilege Miles instead.
Bottom line
This is a great offer for 1,000 free Avios (or other Miles)!
I wouldn’t recommend pushing it too far, but I’d definitely take advantage if you can…

Nice one. Lufthansa might be a better choice if you collect those. Not because they are more valuable but because they are harder to accumulate…
Richard says
Great spot, thank you. That’s an easy 4k into my household account…
JONATHAN MEENAN says
I have not seen any mails saying im getting 1000 avios/ba miles. I registered several emails for accounts and nothing.
Gary says
I joined but haven’t seen any mention of 1,000 free Avios?
Joe Deeney says
I wouldn’t expect an email – the Points should just hit your account at the end of the month I think.
Coz says
I can’t see anywhere to put you Avios number?
Joe Deeney says
Looks like Marriott have pulled the offer which is a bit of a shame. Great while it lasted though!
TokyoGirl says
Has anyone had the 1,000 Avios credited yet? I joined on 3 June and had an e-mail to confirm but no sign of the points yet.
david says
No.
I think they will not respect their offer.
Joe Deeney says
I don’t see anything in my account yet, but remain optimistic. I’ll send them an email If nothing turns up soon.
TokyoGirl says
I e-mailed on the 10th with but no reply as yet. How will they get away with not honouring the offer?
Daniel says
I also have not seen this posted to my account. I e-mailed them over a week ago and have received no response.
Seems very strange for them to not honor the offer – and to not respond with any explanation as to why they aren’t honoring the offer. Anyone have any luck in hearing a response from them?
TokyoGirl says
Yes, I had an e-mail last week:
“I have contacted the airline and due to circumstances beyond our control, the 2017 Double Miles with 1K Bonus offer promotion has been suspended. If your new account is the only Marriott Rewards account that reflects your airline information, then the initial 1,000 bonus miles will post at the end of the month following the month of enrollment. This means that since your account was enrolled on June 03, 2017, they would post to your airline account by July 31, 2017.”
Daniel says
Thanks for the additional information. Original T&C said:
“1,000 bonus miles will be awarded at the end of the month in which enrollment occurred” so they have clearly pushed out a month….which is fine assuming they post. I’ll update on 7/31 regarding if my miles have posted.
david says
Hi.
Is there a new?
I didn’t get a thing.
Shame for them for cheating us.
Daniel says
Just a quick update – miles have not yet posted as of 8/1. I will give it another two days and then follow-up with Marriott. Sounds like other folks are also in the same situation.
Daniel says
As another update – my 1,000 miles did post today.
DreamingOfTokyo says
I just checked my Marriott account and it looks like they’re pending!
It says “2017 Double Miles 1K Bonus posted 01 Aug 2017”.
Hopefully they’ll show up in my BAEC tomorrow…?
Stranger things have happened!
david says
You right.
I checked my Marriott account and it’s the same.
Post the results tomorrow.
Thanks.
dudi reshef says
Nothing here.
What about you?
DreamingOfTokyo says
My partner signed up on the same day as me and received an e-mail saying he had successfully qualified for the 1,000 bonus points offer. He just tried to log in to his Marriott account but it’s been cancelled! He is in my BAEC household account but we live at different addresses. Not sure why they’ve just deleted his account, but obviously he won’t be getting the bonus.
A very strange campaign…
