Courtesy of a Eurostar flash sale, TODAY ONLY (Wednesday 24 May), you can get Eurostar returns to Paris or Brussels (travelling in June) for £38 return (£19 each way).

There’s a bit of small print, but given this amazing price (the cheapest we’ve ever seen), you shouldn’t really grumble:

• You can’t choose your exact time of travel, only AM or PM
• Your departure time will be sent to you 48 hours before travel
• You need to have a Facebook or Twitter account
• Travel is only permitted to/from London St Pancras International (not Ebbsfleet International or Ashford International)
• You can book up to 4 people aged 16+
• Eurostar says it will try to seat you together but as this offer works based on remaining availability, you may be allocated seats further apart.
• You won’t be able to change your seat allocation and tickets can’t be exchanged or refunded.

How do you get the offer?

You need to book this Eurostar sale on the Eurostar “Snap” site, before 11.59pm UK time today. You need to log in to the Snap site using Twitter or Facebook.

Next, you need to select your destination and travel dates and whether you’re an AM or PM departure.

Once you’ve done this, the price for each leg of your journey will be displayed, and you need to pay for it, but you won’t know the exact time of your train. It’s at this point that the bargain hunters need to ensure they’re booking a £19 leg each way: that may require a bit of trial and error of the various options available.

Once you’ve finalised the above, and 48 hours before your departure, you’ll get an email from Eurostar confirming your specific train. You can then print off your allocated tickets (or collect them at the station).
