Norwegian are at it again, with more ludicrously low fares to the USA!

Outbounds start at £99 to New York, Boston and Hartford, Connecticut from Belfast and Edinburgh; with the inbounds pricing as low as £63.10!

As you can see, availability is incredible too – including plenty of dates throughout the Summer Holidays, New Year, etc.

The sale runs until 3rd June 2017, but I imagine the prime dates will get snapped up well before then.

Is Norwegian any good?

Fair question.

I’ve flown with Norwegian in standard Economy overnight from New York on the 787s they fly to London and it was absolutely fine. The difference with these flights is that they will be on the new Boeing 737-MAX aircraft, which are likely to offer a more ‘budget’ experience. There is no personal in-flight entertainment system, and the US airports served are all actually pretty far from the named destinations, etc.

On the other hand, the prices are amazing, and being able to fly from airports outside of London is a great option too. Selecting an extra legroom seat is just £20 each way, if you fancy a bit more space.

I recently made a booking to try out Norwegian’s 737-MAX later this year, so will be able to report back on what it’s really like relatively soon.

I can also tell you that the current sale is ‘genuine’ as the prices were definitely higher when I booked…

Bottom line

~£162 for direct Return flights between the UK and the USA is fantastic. It may not be incredibly luxurious, but these aren’t long flights. Certainly for the daytime outbound flights I’m not expecting any issues at all – we’ll see how I feel about the night flight back after I’ve taken it though!
