InsideFlyer has written before about how you can collect Avios by shopping in-store. In fact, the number of participating retailers was expanded just a couple of weeks ago, and you can now earn double avios on the highstreet!

Until 31st July 2017, the rates at the following stores have been doubled:

Cafe Nero: 10 Avios per £1 (usually 5 Avios per £1)

Debenhams: 4 Avios per £1 (usually 2 Avios per £1)

Ernest Jones: 14 Avios per £1 (usually 7 Avios per £1)

H. Samuel: 14 Avios per £1 (usually 7 Avios per £1)

Officers Club: 14 Avios per £1 (usually 7 Avios per £1)

Blue Inc: 14 Avios per £1 (usually 7 Avios per £1)

Barrhead Travel: 4 Avios per £1 (usually 2 Avios per £1)

Habitat: 4 Avios per £1 (usually 2 Avios per £1)

Heal’s: 4 Avios per £1 (usually 2 Avios per £1)

Registering your card is extremely simple – just head to this page here and follow the instructions.

Note that once you’ve registered, you must allow 24 hours before making your first purchase.

Your Avios should show in your Avios eStore account as “Pending” within 7 working days.

Purchases should usually be approved within 35 days. Your account will be updated to show your Avios as “Approved”. All “Approved” Avios will be posted to your Avios Account within 48 hours – so the whole process shouldn’t take more than about 40 days.

There are often American Express statement credit offers for some of these retailers too, so if you are planning a purchase, remember to have a quick look at your account.

Conclusion

It’s always nice to see more ways to earn Avios, and double Avios is twice as nice!

I wouldn’t go out out of your way to shop with any of these retailers just for the Avios, but if you would be buying something anyway then it can be a great little bonus!

The Avios eStore in store Double Avios offer is valid for all Avios members who make an Eligible purchase via an Avios eStore in store merchant between 00:01 Wednesday 3 May 2017 and 23:59 Monday 31 July 2017.

An Eligible purchase is where one Avios or more is collected through purchases made via Avios eStore in store merchants only.

All Avios will be added to your account within 40 (forty) days from transaction date

Avios will not be awarded on items that are returned or cancelled.
