SkyTeam airlines KLM, Air France and Delta are currently offering some excellent return Business Class fares to the USA from Barcelona and Madrid.
Lots of destinations (including San Francisco/San Jose, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Honolulu, etc) are included and dates are available throughout the year, including the middle of the Summer Holidays!
I’ve just picked out a couple of quick examples here, but there really is a lot of choice:
Barcelona to San Francisco (and back from San Jose) in mid August: £1058

These are great fares for Business Class between Europe and West Coast USA, but the real stand out value is to Hawaii.
ITA Matrix is struggling to find the best fares, so I’d recommend using Google Flights or Kayak.
I don’t think these fares will hang around very long, so if you see something you like, I’d book it as soon as possible!
Shame it’s only Skyteam… I do see offers to/from Barcelona fairly regularly from Air France / Delta in both Business and Economy so I can’t believe that these are truly mistake fares.
I don’t suppose that you checked for open-jaws to get back to the UK instead of Barcelona? Of course, that trick for spending 23 hours in Paris would work quite nicely if you planned to take the Eurostar back home instead of completing the journey to Barcelona. 😉
Unfortunately didn’t have time to check anything more exotic – I wouldn’t be at all surprised though if it can be done!
