Ultra Cheap IHG Stays – the PointBreaks List in Full

We published details yesterday of a “sneak preview” of some IHG hotels to be included in the latest round of their great value PointBreaks offer, where certain hotels are offered for just 5K IHG Rewards points a night. While booking is still not available until Monday 30 January, the full list of hotels has now been released.

As ever, the list will divide opinion but the key point is that wherever you stay, at 5K points a night it will be a good deal.

While the UK options could easily be headed “a list of places probably best avoided”, elsewhere there are some interesting options. Take a look at what works for you, but the following options sprang out for me:

  • Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom (Thailand)
  • Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic)
  • Holiday Inn Panama Canal
  • Holiday Inn Madrid  – Rivas (Spain)
  • Hotel Indigo Krakow – Old Town (Poland)
  • Holiday Inn Prague Airport (Czech Republic)
  • Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport (Germany)

I couldn’t find a single hotel in the enormous US list that didn’t sound like the kind of place you’d expect to host a conference for low-grade motor insurance salesmen. Indeed simply reading it made me sob gently to myself.
