Joe posted yesterday about a rather remarkable “90% off” offer with Garuda Indonesia. Iceland’s WOW Air have also launched their own seasonal silly sale by offering 50% off all round-trip flights.

You just need to use the WOW promo code WOWXMAS16, but it’s a 24 hour sale (ending at midnight on 23 December), so you do need to be quick.

As WOW fly from the UK to the USA, that gives you the opportunity to bag some heavily discounted transatlantic flights. Closer to home, you can also get great value returns to the wonderful Iceland.

As you can see, the 50% off applies to base fare only, so you don’t get any rebate on the taxes or booking fee, but that still leaves plenty of scope for some great value.

Note that WOW flies from London (LGW), Bristol and Edinburgh, so there may well be other, better offers than this. I gave some random examples from London above, but with 50% off all return flights and various starting points and destinations available, you may well find something better or more suitable.
