The 3-course dinner is from the standard fixed price menu, which is usually £24.95 per person – so £49.90 for two. Add on £10.00 each for breakfast (standard cost is about £17 each at Malmaison Hotels, so £10 is definitely fair), and the cost of the room is down to ~ £30!

What’s availability like?

(Surprisingly) excellent.

even on the 10th December when the standard lowest rate (without dinner and breakfast) is £215! So you can save more than 50% and get a free 3-course dinner and breakfast for two people – that’s a great deal!

Are Malmaison Hotels any good?

Yep!

Generally speaking, they are very solid boutique-style 4*s in historic buildings, situated in convenient city centre locations.

Conclusion

The start of the Malmaison sale stay dates (Sunday 18th December) pairs perfectly with final day of this year’s American Express ‘Shop Small’ promotion (3rd-18th December) if you want a quick break the weekend before Christmas!

A night away with dinner and breakfast included might also make a rather nice gift, and remember you can book for dates all the way through to 9th February 2017. Do note though that these prices rates are non-refundable, so make sure you know the person you’re buying for will be able to go!
