Qatar Airways is currently offering the best Business class prices to Australia from Europe that I have ever seen. The discounted route is between Zurich and Adelaide, with prices starting from just £1,086!

You need to book by 16th October and outbound travel has to be completed between 14th October – 10th December 2016, and return travel must be completed by 31st January 2017.

Booking direct on the Qatar site seems to be the best way (despite it pricing in Swiss Francs), though I’d use Kayak or Google Flights first to make searching for dates a bit easier.

Availability looks ok but not great and this is likely to get snapped up quickly – so if you’re interested I’d book asap!

Is Qatar Airways Business Class any good?

You bet!

Qatar is one of only two 5* Skytrax ranked airlines in the Oneworld alliance (the other being Cathay Pacific). All the flights on these routes will be on Boeing 787s and Airbus A350s, which both feature Qatar’s (superb) new Business Class cabin and seats.

There’s a very good argument that Qatar Airways (on those particular types of plane) currently offers the best Business Class in the world, though I personally have a soft spot for Singapore Airlines’ and Etihad’s A380s.

Anything Else?

Naturally.

Credit the flights to British Airways Executive Club and you would earn precisely 600 Tier points – enough for Silver status and the excellent benefits it brings (you would also have to fly or have flown four segments on BA too).

You would also earn 23,970 Avios  – more than enough for Return Economy flights anywhere in Europe with BA, and almost enough for Return Economy flights from Dublin to Boston with Aer Lingus, or from Berlin to Abu Dhabi with Air Berlin.

Bottom Line

Amazing price, fantastic product, decent flight times, a big chunk of Avios and Silver status with BA!

If you were thinking about heading to Australia in Business Class, it isn’t realistically ever going to get much better than this. Even if you were thinking about going in Economy, it could well be worth splurging a few hundred extra given the long flights.
