With a bit of rudimentary German (or Google translate…) you can currently snag 5,000 Lufthansa ‘Miles & More’ Miles for a one night hotel stay.

All you have to do is head to the M&M site here and book before 31st October.

You get at least 1,000 Miles per stay + 4,000 Bonus Miles, so at least 5,000 in total.

Whenever I messed with the website language settings it seemed to stop the bonus Miles showing up, so I’d strongly recommend sticking to google translate instead (just right click anywhere on the German language page and you should get an option to translate to English).

Some of the hotel prices are artificially boosted (like RocketMiles and similar sites often are), but most of the prices I saw were actually the same as what was being offered by the major booking sites.

I couldn’t find any ultra-cheap hotels listed, but there were plenty of options in cheaper parts of the world for £50-60, which (if you value the Miles at about 1p each) can make your hotel stay pretty much free!

If you want to try out Lufthansa First Class, collecting ‘Miles & More’ Miles is by far the best way to do it. Award space is available for M&M members that can’t be booked with other Star Alliance Miles.

You can also use M&M Miles to get half price Lufthansa Business Class through ‘Mileage Bargains’, which is a pretty sweet deal if you can stomach the surcharges.
