You can get the discounted rates for travel dates right up until the end of the current booking schedule (330 days), which is fantastic.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club redemption rates are pretty competitive in Economy and Premium Economy anyway these days, so an additional 30% off makes them well worth taking a look at.

Flying Club have kindly produced charts of the discounted rates and included taxes (charts show the prices for Return flights, but one-ways in either direction are discounted too).

Using Virgin Flying Club Miles for one-ways back to the UK (if you can use other Miles, or find cheap one-way flights for the outbound) can be particularly good value.

Hong Kong is the stand-out deal thanks to the Government there banning ‘surcharges’, so you can fly one-way to London in Economy for just 17,500 Flying Club Miles + ~ £30.00 (330 Hong Kong Dollars) taxes, and in Premium Economy for 28,000 Flying Club Miles + £30.00.

Using Flying Club Miles to get back from a trip to the USA can be good value too (use Avios on Aer Lingus for the outbound).

With the 30% discount, from the East Coast back to the UK in Economy, it works out at 12,250 Miles + ~ £100.00 in taxes/surcharges, or for Premium Economy it is 19,250 + ~£200. 

One-way flights back to the UK from the West Coast or the Caribbean require 14,875 Miles in Economy, or 24,500 in Premium Economy and similar taxes/surcharges.

If you can find availability during peak holiday times, those are great redemptions!

To provide a bit of context, on Peak dates British Airways charges 20,000 Avios + ~£216.00 for Economy and 40,000 + £216.00 in Premium Economy from East Coast USA back to London.
