I am a huge fan of the Etihad Guest loyalty scheme. It’s easy to collect and redeem miles, redemptions can be great value, and the product is superb.

With that in mind, I am always interested in ways to boost my Etihad Guest mileage, and one such opportunity is currently available. Transfer your points from a number of their partners into Etihad Guest on or before 31 July, and you’ll get a 25% bonus on the amount credited.  

There is a decent range of partners included, as you can see on this page, including Le Club AccorHotels, Club Carlson, Heathrow Rewards, Hilton HHonors, Hyatt Gold Passport, IHG Rewards Club, Marriott Rewards and Shangri-La Golden Circle.

The big downside to this promotion is it does not include American Express Membership Rewards. That’s a big shame. I have regularly transferred points into Etihad Guest from Amex with a good old bonus on the transfer, which I’ve then redeemed for the fantastic value Etihad GuestSeat for a great value redemption.

Whether this offer works for you will of course depend on your personal circumstances, and whether you would rather have points in Etihad (with the 25% bonus) or the relevant partner.  Given the lack of an Amex option, I will probably be passing this time, although I am a firm believer in using my hotel points for hotels (even with the 25% bonus into Etihad Guest). However, I can categorically confirm that if you choose to (transfer and then) redeem in Etihad Guest Business Class or First Class, you will not regret it.
