Last night, IHG hotels released its latest list of hotels to be featured in its great value PointBreaks promotion. The IHG Rewards Club PointBreaks promotion lets you book the listed hotels for a bargain 5,000 IHG Rewards points a night.

If you’ve not already heard about it, IHG PointBreaks is widely regarded as one of the best redemption options out there. With some Intercontinental hotels included, there is some real value to be had.

The current PointBreaks list, available here, is valid until 31 October, 2016. While at the time of writing the hotels are not currently bookable, they should be later today. With this in mind, be aware that all rooms are subject to availability – so move fast if you see a hotel you like. While you will get your points back if you cancel a PointBreaks stay, you can only book two PointBreaks reservations (for as many nights as you want) per hotel.

Ultimately, it’s another somewhat disappointing selection, which is in keeping with the decline of PointBreaks as an offer generally – while still great value, even for the least glamorous of hotels, the overall quality of hotels featured has clearly deteriorated over the last few years.

If you’re finding the PointBreaks lists a touch frustrating these days, don’t forget the more flexible alternative…
