IHG Rewards Club has just launched its latest Points ‘flashsale’, offering 100% bonus Points.

The sale runs until 3rd June and provides the opportunity to buy IHG Points for ~0.4p each (0.575 US cents), or £4.00 per 1,000 Points in real money.

Rewards Club usually charges the following, depending on how many Points you purchase:

• 1,000 – 10,000 points for $13.50 per 1,000 points
• 11,000 – 25,000 points for $12.50 per 1,000 points
• 26,000 – 60,000 points for $11.50 per 1,000 points

All purchases attract the 100% bonus, so the prices above are effectively halved. You need to buy 26,000+ (52,000 when you factor the 100% bonus) to get them for ~ 0.4p (0.575 cents).

IHG devalued their award chart recently by introducing a new 60,000 Point top-tier, but there are definitely still bargains to be had, and I’ll be writing more about some of those ‘sweetspots’ later today.

I wouldn’t purchase IHG Points speculatively for 0.4p, but it can make sense in some circumstances. As I just mentioned, I’ll be covering some of those circumstances in a later post, but wanted to quickly flag up the sale as it’s only on for a few days.
