There are a couple of offers currently available that, combined, will give you a healthy boost of 950 free AAdvantage miles.

The first is very easy, as we have previously flagged. You’ll get 700 free AAdvantage miles simply by entering a competition. The second comes via survey site e-Rewards, which is currently offering 250 free AAdvantage miles simply for signing up via this link and completing (which includes beginning but being determined ineligible for) one survey. 

You can of course proceed to participate in further surveys to earn more miles, although whether or not the miles you earn for e-Rewards surveys is worth your time is a matter of debate. Certainly the 1 survey for 250 miles is, however, worth doing.
